Safety comes first and always takes precedence over all other aspects of our business. We adhere to the highest safety standards in all work practices and ensure the protection of or people, our partners and our communities.

At CCM, each employee has a responsibility to make health, safety and environmental protection an integral part of all daily work. For this reason, we have incorporated throughout our entire operations a new mission to achieve “a world class SHE culture”. The mission is to “AIM Zero: zero incident, zero pollution and zero waste”. Programmes on operational safety, workplace safety and hygiene, environmental protection, health maintenance, product safety, and community outreach have been planned and implemented.

As a key industry player, we are at the forefront as participant and initiator of various initiatives, campaigns and efforts to promote SHE within the industry.

World-Class SHE Culture

Objective:

  • Improve the SHE culture and enhance the capabilities of leaders, managers, SHE professionals and employees to achieve the desired SHE performance.
  • Achieve enhanced organisational structure, SHE Management Systems and processes that would help integrate SHE into routine operations and create a conducive environment.
  • Create structured processes for enhancing the “people” aspect of SHE, covering management and employees.

We understand chemicals like no other. Our Chemical Emergency Service (CES) team offers 24/7 emergency response service and is recognised as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia.

Our trained CES teams are well-trained to provide emergency response and in times of chemical-related crisis and recognised as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia.

Our chlor alkali business is proud to be a signatory of the Responsible Care programme. Responsible Care is a global initiative aimed at minimising any negative impact from the manufacture, distribution and use of chemicals, while maximising the beneficial use of our products in society. Our goal is to meet or exceed Responsible Care guidelines in every instance.

Environment

We are committed to upholding environmental stewardship and continuously work to minimise ecological footprint. As a responsible chemical manufacturer, we strive to minimise energy consumption across our plants. As a result, we closely manage our input and output of energy, water consumption and waste management through the practice of 3R (Reuse, Reduce and Recycle).
